张潇月，这名来自中国重庆的女孩把自己对于麻将的心得写进了申请书里，她怎么也没有想到，这种与众不同的性格竟帮助她拿到了美国哈佛大学的录取通知书。

A Chinese student has been admitted into Harvard University after showing unique personality in writing about Mahjong stories for her application statement, as reported by Shanghai-based news agency ,The Paper, on Monday.

是什么使得这四名学生从37000多名大陆地区申请者中脱颖而出的呢?他们身上的哪些品质打动了哈佛呢?

被网友称为“哈佛女神”的沈赫赫

赵泽琦“头发长得很快”，李嘉昊“十秒钟能算出三位数平方”，被网友称为“哈佛女神”的沈赫赫，还有对麻将情有独钟的重庆女孩张潇月，每个人都具有鲜明的个性，哈佛招生官也坦言更青睐“做自己”的独一无二的学生。

Zhang, together with three other high school students, Li Jiahao, Shen Hehe and Zhao Zeqi are the four mainland students admitted by Harvard this year, selected from the pool of 37,000 applicants.

哈佛的招生官看重什么?

招生官布莱斯·吉尔菲尔连称，他们所希望看到的，是一个知道自己是谁，知道自己想要成为什么的学生，他们更想要了解学生的所思所想，因此在简历中，申请者需要帮助招生官在短时间内更加全面地了解自己。

Bryce says that they want to know as much as possible within several pages about the applicants: who they are and what they want to be. They prefer students with unique personality and creative ideas.

此外，他们也格外关注潜力，他们首要考虑的是学生将来可以为国家、为世界做些什么。

They also stress the importance of potential. What can the student do for his or her country and also for the world?
